一桩桩案件惊现海州市，引起了相关部门的注意。因这一起起案件的交集点都在一个叫刘眉的女子身上，而她又是本市药业集团所拥有了的一座大厦的经理，于是，公安部门派出了年轻貌美而有学识丰富的汪静雯（蒋雯丽 饰）以投资人的身份进入了药业集团，暗中搜集证据。 药业集团的老总郭小鹏（王志文 饰）是人人称羡的钻石王老五，汪静雯与他一见如故。岂料郭小鹏表面上正直上进，其实暗地却是一名老奸巨猾的大毒枭！加上他的情人刘眉在处处作对，汪静雯的行动处处受阻。于此同时，刑侦支队副队长李新建（师小红 饰）率队捣毁了郭小鹏的一出冰毒加工基地。没了原料的郭小鹏，派刘眉前往新疆寻找原料，在新疆一场恶斗展开了。另一方面，汪静雯堕进了郭小鹏精心编织的情网。
